Our Approach in Roswell GA

Chiropractic Roswell GA Our Approach Activator Technique

Our chiropractor in Roswell GA uses state-of-the-art technology to assess each practice member individually for the detection and correction of the “Vertebral Subluxation”. This helps to identify the unique cause(s) with each individual rather than the symptoms expressed.

The steps to take in Roswell GA

Step 1: New practice members are asked to fill out: (a) questionnaires, (b) Health Intake forms, (c) office forms, and (d) any additional forms pertaining to particular complaints.

Step 2: A thorough history will be conducted to discuss each practice member’s personal health goals and to unravel the layers of past traumas, injuries or illnesses to determine the cause of your health issues

Step 3: The Specific, Scientific Chiropractic Assessment

A comprehensive chiropractic examination consisting of state-of-the-art technology will be performed to further determine the root cause of the dysfunction or disconnect in your body or your child’s body that is leading to the health problems currently experienced.

Adults:

  • Our exam consists of palpation of your neck, back, and hips. Palpation is the process of using the hands to identify muscular tightness or asymmetries, posture abnormalities, motion restriction, or to feel for heat variability.
  • You may be asked to complete several orthopedic exams. This will aid to further understand where the roots of your issues lie.
  • Most practice members will be instructed to move their neck and low back through a series of motions in order to objectively determine how your issues are affecting your day-to-day life.
  • State-of-the-art technologies will be used to isolate areas of interference in your spine. These include the Insight NeuralTherm Scanner and on-site X-ray, if needed.

Infants and Children:

  • Our pediatric exam is designed for newborns up to age 12. It is a complete and comprehensive exam to determine where your child’s subluxations are and to identify other crucial factors that are essential to proper growth, development and learning.
  • We perform Functional Neurology exams for children with neurodevelopmental issues like ADHD, Autism, and Learning Disorders.
We evaluate infant (and some pediatric) cranial bones by assessing the shape of the skull.

After the Exam:
The front desk will schedule your next visit, which is one of the most important visits in the office. The doctors will discuss the findings from the exam, decide whether you or your child are good candidates for chiropractic care, and create the best care plan for your specific needs.

Step 4: You will return to our office following your exam so the doctors can discuss your “Report of Findings.” Next, the doctors will discuss their recommendations and action steps will be laid out.

Step 5: Initiate care and begin your journey to expressing your innate potential!

Congratulations for taking the first steps towards expressing true health and for beginning your journey towards a vitalistic wellness oriented lifestyle! Remember- your health outcomes are dependent on your health choices.

TECHNIQUES

Each of our doctors has a unique adjusting portfolio. This allows our practice more diversity and enables us to care for more people.

Activator (to include Activator II, Activator IV, Impulse, and Arthostim)

“The Activator Method is one of the most widely researched chiropractic techniques and the only instrument adjusting technique with clinical trials to support its efficacy.” – www.activator.com

Sustained Contact Infant Adjusting

Adjusting infants and children is not like adjusting little adults! This gentle technique uses light pressure, about the weight of a dime, to remove the child’s subluxation.

Cranial Adjusting for Infants and Pediatrics

Just like misaligned vertebra in your child’s spine affect the nerves to his/her entire body, so too do misaligned cranial bones put undue stress on cranial nerves. These nerves supply the eyes, ears, nose, and some even supply the digestive tract! See Prenatal and Pediatric Chiropractic Care.

Webster Technique for Women

“The Webster protocol is a specific chiropractic sacral analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/SI joint dysfunction. In so doing neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is improved.” – www.icpa4kids.org,

Dr. Jeanne Ohm

Grostic

Grostic technique is a sub-specialty in the chiropractic profession, focusing on aligning the upper cervical spine. It is one of several upper cervical procedures utilizing x-rays of the top two bones of the neck and the base of the skull (the upper cervical spine) to determine a misalignment or subluxation that may create interference to your nervous system. This area is the most mobile of the spine because it is the only area of the spine without interlocking joints. This means that traumatic forces, such as falls, repetitive motion, or motor vehicle crashes, can easily misalign the upper cervical spine.

Diversified/Full Spine

Diversified/Full Spine is the most commonly used technique in chiropractic. This technique is characterized by a high velocity, low amplitude force in order to correct subluxations. The technique is done by hand in order to restore motion and break up fibrous adhesions in the spine and, if needed, extremities.

Thompson Drop

Thompson Drop technique utilizes a special table that has drops. The drops in the table are engaged as the doctor makes the adjustment. This allows gravity to take a role, and therefore, requires less force. The fact that this technique utilizes physics makes the adjustment easy on the doctor and gentle on the patient. This technique is best used in order to enhance the motion in the segment or area being adjusted.
