Why is crawling on your hands and knees so important?
Fact: Crawling on all fours in a cross pattern is vitally important for proper neurological development. By Why? Some people may know that our brains have to halves; the left side controls movement of the right side of your body and visa versa. The two halves are connected in the middle by a structure known as the Corpus Callosum. When a baby crawls properly, she extends her right arm and left knee. This crisscrossing allows the crisscrossing of information in the brain! Better crisscrossing = better communication between the right and left sides of the brain, and in turn, better communication between your brain and your body!
